Get to know FHP Board Member: Jordan Lessard

There aren’t many jobs where you are able to be part of a family’s life for all the big moments and get to see the family grow and build strong relationships with; but for Jordan Lessard he is not only a Financial Advisor, but he is also one to help provide solutions to make informed, financially sound decisions for all the big and small life events. We are lucky to have Jordan as a board member for Forward High Point and I was able to learn more about him and how he gives back to the High Point community.

As a High Point native who went to Wesleyan Christian Academy and later to Wheaton College in Chicago, IL, Jordan has had positive influences throughout his life such as his father; Paul Lessard, who is the founding president of High Point Community Foundation. By growing up around philanthropic work, it has left an impact on Jordan and him wanting to come back to his hometown and give back even more. He is on several boards that he is passionate about and loves to learn more about others and developing relationships within the town.

David Jones had been working for Edward Jones in the High Point location since 1982 and has since retired and offered the opportunity to Jordan. Lessard’s day-to-day is always different which is why he loves his job and loves the idea of financial planning for families. For those who are interested in a job like Jordan’s, he advises that you need to be intentional as to why you chose this field and that your priority for the job is to deepen the relationships with your clients and have the heart to truly help them.

Lessard has been able to watch the city of High Point develop into the city it is now and is excited to see what High Point will become in the future. He is currently raising his baby boy here around a great community of people and a downtown that is continuously being developed into a more up and coming city. High Point has so much to offer to everyone and Lessard is looking forward to how people can participate more in our downtown revitalization and the impact it will have in the future.
